I have 2 JL Auido 10w3d4's. I want to wire them in series/parallel ( i
found the instructions on the JL website
http://www.jlaudio.com/tutorials/wiring/#2dvcsp ). I want to run 250
watts to each of them. These speakers are dual voice coil 4 ohms. The
JL website says that when i connect them in series/parallel they will
stay at 4 ohms. If this is correct what size of amp do i need. Do i
need an amp that puts out 500 watts @ 4 ohms or an amp that puts out
250 watts @ 4 ohms. right now i am looking at a sony XM-D1000P. Also
if anyone has any suggestions on what amp would be a good one to buy i
would appreciate it, i am looking to spend around $200.

Thanks,

In your scenario, you need an amp that puts out 500 watts RMS into 4 ohms

I was thinking about buying a profile clarus CL1200. Any opinions on
Profile amps? Ive never heard of them, but the specs look nice.
