Hi Folks,
I was wondering if anyone knew if other than the Clarion DVH940, was
there any other Dolby Prologic II DSP available on the market? I know
that Clarion head units have a bad rep in the group, but does anyone
have an opinion or has anyone tried the above unit?
From my reading, it would appear that Dolby Prologic II DSP would be
perfect in cars. Once a center channel has been add, then most good
sound system have five channels. Right now the rear channels are
mostly used at a low volume so that one is just aware of their
presence. PLII has the potential to better utilize the rears.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Folks,
Does anyone have a DVD with Dolby prologic II? How effective is it in
a car? Is it worth the premium or is it just a marketing gimmick?

The new Pioneer DEH7500 (I think that's the model #) has Dolby Pro Logic II
and plays DVD-Audio.
I have DD & DTS with a center channel but only Dolby Surround for non-5.1
material. I'd love to step up to the latest but am holding out for an DVD-A
& SACD player to take advantage of the SACD discs I have. Definitely the
future of car audio IMO.
