Sony c90 and Alpine h700

Sony C90 toslink digital out to Alpine H700 toslink digital in.
Will it work?
Anybody tried?

I was waiting for someone else to answer, becasue I'm not 100% sure myself.
But I don't think they're compatible.

guess you are right they will not work via digital cos the current
Sony digital preamp still require the Unilink bus connection. even if
the toslink can connect one still need to convert the bus system dif
between the Sony and Alpine. i.e Unilink and Ainet.

unless using RCA, well that is a dif story and defeat the purpose of
having digital out (sony) and digital in (alpine)

the toslink is not universal, but if you went with a co-axil output or made
your own you could.  you could make an aux input and route the CD changer
that way.
