I'm limited to what is available on my store credit.

Leaning toward the kicker CompVR12 over the Momo12" based on what i've
read and the Fs, Vas and recommended enclosure specs between the 2.

Box is a Qlogic 12" single bandbass
Power will be an old Orion 250watt running mono

Then there's an audiobahn 12"sub/enclosure i heard that i could also
go with that sounded decent but i didn't get to play with it much. i
haven't heard the other subs in a qlogic box or any other box(they
were wall mounted) so i wanted to know if anyone out there might have
have some insight. Price wise they are within $10 of each other. The
Audiobahn falls in the same range if i include it's box as well.

Thanks in advance.

The Kicker's are some of the loudest subs I have heard for the money.
I'm not sure they are up there on the SQ factor but nonetheless. Let me
take a wild guess and say that you were testing these at CIRCUIT CITY???

Yeah, thats what I thought.

Well I can tell you that I have heard 2 of those Audiobahn 12"s  (I
think it is the AW1208T??) installed in a Civic, and they knock good.
The Kickers (based on listening in the demo room) are characteristically
about the same. Not sure about the MOMO one because the last time I was
at CC someone had blown the sub. I have heard Polk subs before and
honestly I think they are overpriced. You can do just as well for less
money. I think your best bet would be the Audiobahn in the bandpass box,
it would pound pretty hard. That or the Kicker are good choices, but I
prefer Audiobahn based on listening to it actually installed. I guess it
depends on how much your store credit is. Plug the TS params of the sub
and your box dimensions into your favorite program and see what you come
out with. Let me know what happens.

Thanks Effendi. I plan on listening to the audiobahn again tomorrow.
it's a single 12 bandpass but i figure the box should be tuned well.
Not CC but Fry's. i know i could do much better online but i need to
use up this credit. it'll practically cover the audiobahn so that's
good since the standalone prices for the kicker is $149 for one. ouch.

i am not really looking for SQ but rather nice deep bass. wife and
kids won't appreciate 2 12s so a single is fine since i'm upgrading
from a 10"JL. I'd definitely try JL in the Q enclosure if Fry's
carried them. i listened to an audiobahn dual 10" bandpass but it
didn't have the deep bass i was looking for. SQ was probably better
but too tight for me.

so if the audiobahn sounds good to me, i'll return the qlogic box.
