Hey just looking how cheap you guys in the US get your audio gear. I was
looking mainly at the Phoenix Gold tantrum series, a pair of components at
US 95$ and prolly the Ti 500 or Ti 250 to power them. Anyone know how much
it would cost to import it to Australia, in Sydney. inc taxes if any, can
they be avoided.

Your best bet it to get a shipping quote from a few online dealers.

You won't pay any import taxes, but you will get slugged 10% GST once
the total amount goes over $500 AUD.  So it may be worthwhile bringing
in 2 shipments spaced a couple of weeks apart.  You'll need to do the
sums.  Once the total cost hits 1,000 AUD you'll be up for an import
license, whose exact cost I can't recall but the last one I had was
around 70 bucks AUD from memory.
