DVD entertainment for long trip

I have a problem that I hope someone can help me with.  My husband has
two laptop computers that contain DVD players in them.  Since we are
driving from TX to FL w/ a 2- and 4-yr old, we wanted to bring them w/
us for all our sanity!  We've used one on short trips (4-5 hrs)
numerous times just by propping it up on a bin or suitcase w/ cords in
front of their seats w/ great success.

Here lies the problem.  Two extra adults will be driving w/ us on our
trip and they'll be sitting in the two middle bucket seats while the
two kids sit in their carseats in the back bench (we have an Odyssey).
Therefore, the kids would not be able to see the screen up front and
there's not enough room for the bin or such between the two middle
seats close enough for the kids to see it in the back.  Also, the
adults will have to be able to manuveur to the kids in the back to
buckle them in and such and will have to be able to do that around the
laptop.

So, the question.  Does anyone know where I can find a harness or car
kit to hang the laptop between the middle bucket seats so that the
kids could see it in the back?  I've tried my own searches w/ no luck.
The only thing I can find that could work is all those portable DVD
things and those holders are all too small for an actual laptop.  And,
I haven't found any laptop holders that contain any kind of harness
straps.

If you don't know of any actual laptop harness holders, do you maybe
know of a way that I could rig one up myself?  Using diff. components
maybe?  I'm just at a loss and I can't stand the thought of driving
all that way w/o their usual DVD entertainment for the trip!

Thank you for any and all feedback!

Don't know of anything out there on the market or anything that I would even
want to try and rig up just for the safety issue involved driving that
distance.  Have you thought of just getting an overhead monitor with DVD
player?  A much better and safer idea.  You can get some pretty cheap now a
days without having to worry about running any additional power cords from
your cigarette lighter or how to prop up the laptop without worrying about
what happens the first time you need to slam on the brakes..

Just a thought about the overhead monitors.  You can get a Sony 7"
widescreen with a DVD player and 2 sets of headphones for around $700.
Cheap money for the great piece of mind and tranquility of driving that
distance.  Been there.  Done that with my 4 year old and 8 month old driving
from New Hampshire to Arizona.  Nothing like being able to watch a DVD or
satellite driving cross country.. :o)
