Hi all,

Anyone recommend any good sites which review subs, amps, crossovers etc.

I'm looking at installing a sub, two amps (one to power the sub and one to
power to 6x9's at the rear and two door speakers at the front) nothing
fancy.

I'm new to the subject so need some advice as to which kit is the best.

Cheers,
Neil

I'd steer clear of sites that are dedicated to the task of reviewing
equipment.  Most have a vested interest in the matter, and it's often
difficult to determine which ones do and which ones don't.  I think your
best bet is to read what people in various message boards are touting (for
instance, right here on RAC), and try to see if you can find reasons WHY
they're touting that particular product.

PS - here's one site that may be helpful:  www.carsound.com/reviews

Be very careful though.  I think their reviews are littered with BS
editorials, but one useful aspect (in fact, the ONLY useful aspect) is that
they've measured actual power output for a number of different amplifiers,
which in many cases are different from the manufacturer's rated outputs.
I'm not entirely sure what their paradigm is to arrive at these power output
measurements, but it's probably safe enough to put some degree of confidence
in them.  Good luck.
