WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft (news - web
sites) told the Sept. 11 commission on Tuesday the Clinton
administration bore most of the blame for the attacks because it
allowed the nation's defenses to wither for eight years.
Yada, yada, yada. Be a man you moron. Accept a little blame of your
own. I guess your biggest priority was covering up some naked statues.
Gotta keep those priorities straight.
"Earlier, Thomas Pickard, who was acting FBI director in the summer of
2001, said Ashcroft had blocked the funds he sought.
"The additional funds we were looking for on counterterrorism were
denied," Pickard said. He appealed the decision but added, "On Sept.
12, (the day after the attacks) I read a denial of that appeal from
the attorney general."
"The second report quoted Pickard as saying he had briefed Ashcroft on
terrorist threats in late June and July 2001 but the attorney general
was not interested.
"After two such briefings, the attorney general told him he did not
want to hear this information anymore," the report quoted Pickard as
saying. Pickard himself repeated the charge in his testimony but
Ashcroft vehemently denied it."
MURDERER! Ashcroft needs to be put in prison. Along with his idiotic
boss!
Blaming everything on the Clinton administration is OK if you can show that
you were busy undoing their damage. If instead you were too busy worrying
about giving Enron a pass and spending most of your time dealing with
abortion issues, it hardly give Asscroft any wiggle room to pass the buck.

Unless, of course, you were carrying out God's commands.

The abuses at Enron occured before Ashcroft was in office
They are prosecuting people right now

Naturally you can prove all of your assertions, right?
Oh, I thought not.
Last I heard people from Enron are going to jail.
Ken Ley's days are probably numbered.

Where are the notes from Cheney's energy task force meetings, which should clear this up?
