Hi:

My son has a 2000 Chevy Astro Van

He just updated and installed his sound system.
He enlisted the help and advice of a good adult friend
that is somewhat of an expert at car audio.

The system has:

A subwoofer component that he has had few a few years now.
It consist of an Alpine mono power amp MRD-M300
with a pair of Alpine 12" type E speakers
mounted on a custom tuned box.

He has a new Pioneer radio
DEH-P8600MP
with many bells and whistles.

This is hooked into a Kicker KX800.4 amplifier.

It puts out 100w RMS into 4 speakers at 4ohms  (100w x 4)
or 200w RMS into 4 speakers at 2ohms  (200w x 4)

The van has 3 pairs of speaker mounts (maybe 4).

The front doors takes 6 ?"
The back doors takes 6 ?"
and the back columns takes 4 x 6" speakers.

I think the front doors also will hold a component tweeter.
It has covered holes about that size a few inches below the window.

The question is :

What speaker do you recommend for this system?

Thanks,

John

Image Dynamics Chameleon CXS6 2 ohm components.

and

I won't use anything else in my vehicles.  I've used the 5.25" as well.  The
midbass drivers are fantastic and the tweeters are among my favorites.
