I am interested in getting a satellite radio. Does anyone know of a model
that can go from the car to the house in a single unit? Seems like i saw one
on tv once.

Well, the Delphi SkyFi for XM can go from house to car in a single unit,
if that's what you mean. In order for the Skyfi to work, you must use a
car kit, which includes the antenna, cigarette lighter adapter and a
cassette audio adapter. This is usually permanently installed in a
vehicle.  For car radios that do not have cassette decks Delphi offers a
hard wired FM modulator or a wireless FM modulator, but I would recommend
using those as a last resort. If you have line inputs, you could run it
straight through and adapters are available to utilize the cd changer
input.  For home use, you need the SkyFI home kit which has the antenna,
AC/DC adapter and 1/8th to RCA cables to hook up to a stereo, or powered
speakers. There's also the SkyFi boombox option where you can use
batteries and take it with you. Of course Sirius has similar units, one
made by Audiovox and another made by JVC. The receiver unit costs about
$100.00 and the car and the home kits run about 70 dollars each and the
boombox is about $100. Delphi even has a boombox with CD/MP3 player and
AM/FM radio for about $200.00

I WOULD GO w/ jvc and sirius
sirius is the same price as xm and does not have commercials in their music
i love the jvc arsennal 5000 stereo
but am not buying it because you need the plug and play unit which i do not
like for the car
i want the stereo itself to control the sattelite radio
