The Rockford Fosgate P5002 amp running at 500W x 1 @ 4ohms.

From what I've read in this group it seems most everyone agrees that 8
gauge power and ground wires will suffice for most any application.
But the salesman where I'm purchasing this gear is trying to sell me
on 4 gauge. Do I really need to go that big for this amp? And is
twelve guage good for the RCAs? Thanks guys.

I just installed this amp the other day and the connection terminals can
take up to a 4gauge.  I prefer using bigger wire just incase of future
upgrades down the road, and if the amp can take it, why not.
