i have a quick question concerning the 3 pin plugs used in older excalibur
alarms for the door locks. it has blue and green which i know are for
lock/unlock but the what is the red wire in the middle for? will i need relays
if i am connecting to a negative pulse system? i havent installed an alarm in a
few years and the unit had no manual but i know all the other colors, its just
this i dont remember about. thanks in advance for any help

depends on the alarm itself, if it has on-board door lock relays.  However,
most alarm systems can do at least negative door locks.  If that's the case,
then green will be (-) lock and blue will be (-) unlock.  The red wire is a
low current 12v source to power a door lock module such as DEI's 451m.
