I have a 1991 Chevy Cheyenne, has a big radio and than a seperate tape
deck off to the side.  I would like to put my old stereo from my car
in there, its a sony mp30.  I would like to know what the wires in the
tape deck are so I can snip them off and wire up the sony.  Anyone
know where I can view a diagram?

The real harness you need is attached to the tuner/amp unit, which can be
found under the dash near accelerator pedal.  The leads from the cassette
player and the radio control unit plug in the bottom of it; the power and
ground wires and speaker outputs come out the top.  The antenna connection
is found there too.

An aftermarket wire harness is strongly reccomended, if only because the
factory plug is buried deep in the dash and it would be very difficult to
cut it and make your connections in there.  It's the same harness that you
find in most GM vehicles after 1990.  You'll also need an adapter for the
antenna plug.

The person who asked what I was going to do with the Delco radio, I am
most likely just going to leave it there, even though it does
nothing.  Unless you want to trade for a cup holder or whatever to
fill the void........
