I want to replace the factory speakers that came with my car. They
sound awful. Yet, I do not want to make any modification (I will not
buy a new head unit or amplifiers). I know it wont sound very good but
if you were to upgrade your stock system with only speakers, what
could you suggest me? I need the best possible after market sounding
speakers off the stock head unit amplifiers. I read that the Infinity
Reference speakers are very good it that matter. What do you think?

Okay.... and? What size are they? Are you aware that not all speakers of the same size will necessarily fit? Some of
them may be too deep, or perhaps the tweeter sticks out too far? Are you aware that some speakers have a power range
that allows them to run well off of factory head units, while others require more power and will sound like crap?

I think a trip to Crutchfield is in order.

http://www.crutchfield.com/

Follow that link, click on What Fits My Car?, and fill out the info on your make and model. Select speakers the right
size that the web site tells you will fit, and be sure that the recommended power range goes down to 2 or 4 watts RMS
-- no higher, I should think.
