XM/Sirius antenna on Jeep w/soft top?

I am planning on purchasing a Jeep Wrangler soon and will be swapping
out my system from its current home in my Chev S10 pickup. Any tips on
the satellite antenna? I want to be able to remove the soft top as
needed. What setups have you seen for XM/Sirius antennas and Jeeps? I
guess a newer magnetic one would work on the hood or cowl.
Thanks in advance.

It kind of depends on what antenna you get, but I'm sure that instead of
putting the antenna on the roof you could either attach it to the hood
somewhere, or even on the bottom metal corner of the windshield where
the hinge bracket is. Or any other magnetic surface for that matter.

The best location for the antenna is out in the open somewhere but even
that doesn't always matter. I've had success with putting it on the
parcel shelf in a car under the rear window and it still functioned just
fine. So, hell, you could possibly even get it to work sticking it on
the roll cage under the soft-top, but I've never tried that.
