I have decided that I am going to install a _single_ subwoofer in my
car. I was wondering which subwoofer size would be right for me: 8" or
10"? I listen to mainly classic rock music, so I don't want it too
"boomy" like you hear in the city. I should also mention that I have a
tiny car. I appreciate any suggestions.

Well, that's not the question I think...  Probably an 8 would suit
you, but a lot of times 8"s can't reach down nearly as far as a
10-12-15.. You didn't mention how much power you want to go to it, but
I am assuming you don't want a lot.  Maybe a JL Audio 8W0 or 10W0, or
(my favorite) Alpine Type R 10" (I love mine).. What is your budget?
I have heard excellent things about the SQ of an Adire Shiva...  I
would come up with a budget, find out what brands you are interested
in and go to the dealers and take a listen.  Can't go wrong with JL or
Type R or Shiva though (in my opinion).
