I have a 4 channel Legacy 1080a amp.  If I used two channels bridged to one,
what would it do to ohms that it is pushing? Would it be possible for me to
bridge channel 1 and 2, then 3 and 4 and run a single sub off those two
bridged channels? I don't understand all the ohm stuff really. The sub is a
dual two ohm voice coil.

you would need a sub with dual 4 ohm coils to run it that way.

Hmm, Its a Rockford Rfr3112. Its a dual 2-ohm voice coil, so it would run at
dual 4 wouldn't it? Thanks Scott you've helped me with almost all the
questions I've asked :+)

That sub can be used as a 1 ohm, 4 ohm, or dual 2 ohm sub. you could use the
sub on one half of the amp. you would do better to use a regular 2 channel
amp and run one coil to each channel.

The problem is I have no money for another amp at this point, so I'm not
sure that I can hook this up and make it work.
