Connecting multiple components & relays

I have two questions.

1. Behind my dash, the existing yellow wire (battery) is connected to
my headunit's yellow wire. I want to add an equalizer to my system.
The equalizer requires its yellow wire to connect to my car's yellow
battery wire also. My question is:

Can I safely tap into the same yellow wire my headunit is using for
it's battery supply? In other words, my car's yellow battery wire
behind the dash would be connected to the headunit's yellow wire, and
the equalizer's yellow wire.

2. My other question is about using relays for turning on multiple
components. I'm taking it that it's safe to tap multiple remote turn
on leads from the relay's 87 lead? I don't really understand how I am
supposed to use the relay.

Yes, there will be no problem by tapping ot to the yellow wire.

You often have to use an relay when you use miltiple components, I tried to
hook up two amplifiers on my Clarion HU but it faded out after about ten
minutes, but after I useded a relay the HU is working properly.

I don?t really know the american relays, but in Norway we use pinnumbers:
30, 85, 86 and 87. Two of the pins are for trigging the relay and it is
displayed with a square with a diagonal line (hope this is corectly
spelled). On these pins you hook up the remote cable from the HU and a
ground-wire. You will not short surcuit the remote cable. The other two pins
are to lead power from the battery through the relay and to the extra
components. You can splitt the cables here as mutch as you like if you just
keep it under the listed amount of amps.

This is the best way I can explain it in englis, maybe someone else can do
it better than me if this was a poor explanation.
