anyone know where I can get a older style 2 hole shaft style radio?
Need one NIB or refurbished.. prefer Sony or Pioneer maybe Kenwood.
Need one for my wife's 73 Camaro and no she doesn't want to cut the dash.

I know ecklers and corvettecentral have these kinds of radios, both old and
new for mounting in 68-82 corvettes. I'd guess they would fit the camaro
too.

I was wondering if someone might have one sitting around in a box somewhere.
that was my hope anyway.

Any antique swap meets in your area? I know there is a huge show at
Carlisle PA that would probably produce a old radio or two. But I would
go with one of the reproduction radios that uses today's technology.
More cost but better performance and they look vintage.

that is an option that we hadn't really thought about but we really don't
care about it looking right were just tired of listening to the Headers as
we drive down the road. We have a couple of car shows close to us in Dallas
we may have to try that. Thanks.

You could try an under-dash mounting box, that way you could add a standard
DIN sized radio, and leave the factory radio in place, if it's still intact
i mean.
Here's one at crutchfield, and it's actually included free by request if you
buy a headunit there.

that is something we have considered but that is where our Tach, oil water
and trans temp cluster is and we really can't move it as most of it is hard
wired. the is no console either as one idea was to put a unit inside the
console tray.
but thanks for the suggestion.

I can't remember the model off hand but Kenwood made one that would control
a CD changer, I had one in my old Monte Carlo and it was nice.  Sounded
terrible until after modifying the line output chips, very weak in power
outputs on speaker level also, but, you gotta do what you gotta do!
