I am looking to buy a pair of 6 x 9 Infinity Kappa (KAPPA693.5I)
speakers. I downloaded the manual for the speakers from Infinity's web
site, and it says this:

"Except for the 462.5cfp, each Kappa Series multi-element speaker
includes a crossover for in-line connection to an amplifier output and
is required for proper operation. The attached crossover wires are
keyed and color-coded to aid in correct polarity connections. Do not
omit the crossover or substitute another one - doing so will damage
the speaker."

Now, I'm no audio expert, but does this mean that I *have* to add and
use an external crossover? I don't want to add a crossover. All I want
to do is use these speakers as my rear speakers and power them off of
my amp.

It *comes* with a small crossover for each speaker, so you don't have
to get one yourself.

It says it *includes* the crossover.  What's the problem?
