Hello all,

I am experiencing a problem whereby the sound from all four speakers will
suddenly disappear momentarily when the car goes over bumps or through sharp
turns.  I don't think it is a problem with the ground wire or +12V wire
because the stereo stays on, still says it's playing, etc.  I find it hard
to believe that it's got anything to do with the speaker wires because
wouldn't just one speaker go out, rather than all of them simultaneously?
Anyway, if anybody has any idea what could be causing this, I'd greatly
appreciate any input you could give me.  Thanks in advance!

I had a problem like this in my Mom's Ranger XLT Supercab. The problem for me turned out to be that one of the spades on the speaker
wires was making contact with the outer metal panel of the truck's body. I don't know if this could be your problem or not, Because
I had just replaced all 4 of the factory speakers. If you still have a factory system, then I'm not sure what your problem could be.

I'd guess a loose ground, power, or RCA to an amp.

problem is that one of your speaker outputs (either a wire, or the
connectors at the speaker) are shorting out by touching metal of the car.
This will cause the whole stereo to ground out the speaker outputs and loose
sound to all 4 speakers.  You need to find which is the problem, and fix.
