Hey Mark,
Didn't you replace your ESX Q1204 with an a/d/s/ unit? Are you now or have
you ever run a/d/s/? I am contemplating picking up their biggest 6 or 8
channel amp, but I have your old Q1204 now and its a freakin' ground
pounder. I want to make sure whatever I replace it with will be able to
meet or exceed its power output. Or come darn close. I had originally
planned on running three Q1204s, but frankly my electrical system can't
handle it and I might as well sell these and get something I can integrate
now and keep for a while.
I am looking for an amp that is really thin. Like sliced deli ham thin.
I'm thinking the biggie 6 and 8 channels from a/d/s/ would fit the bill
nicely, powering mid/highs, midbass, and rears bridged for a single sub.
The thing I love most about the Q1204 is that clean power is not an issue.
I can turn the damn thing all the way up and the speakers just sing.
Whaddya think?

Yes. A P840.

I've had several a/d/s/ amps and speakers.

You probably won't get more power out of anything a/d/s/ currently offers.
But they are much thinner and have slightly more adjustable crossovers.

Actually, you wont get any power out from amplifiers a/d/s/ currently
offers.

Have they stopped already?
