Eclipse 5444 and Amplifier input sensitivity?

I'm considering buying the Eclipse 5444 and running it with an old PPI
5075DX.  The Eclipse has a 5V pre-amp out and the amp has an
adjustable input sensitivity from 300mv to 2V.

Question:  Is it okay to just dial up the input sensitivity to 2V on
the PPI or do I need to find an amp that actually mates with a 5V head
unit output?

Thanks,

The PPI amp won't be able to make use of the Eclipse's high output voltage, but
ithe deck won't damage the amp.
