I'd be grateful if anyone could help me re-start my car stereo.

My boyfriend let the battery run flat (left the headlights on) and now my
JVC KD-S550 CD player doesn't work.

I'm told I need the codes. I bought the stereo off my sister a few years
ago, who is now living in London and has no idea what the code was/is. I've
long-since lost any manuals that came with the stereo.

Can anyone help a clueless newbie?

cheers,
Felicity
Bris-vegas.

That model radio doesn't need or have a code.  Either one of 3 things
happened.

1.)  Fuse blew on back of stereo
2.)  Fuse blew in fuse box that powers the radio
3.)  Your radio is fried.

I think #1 and #2 would be the most likely and should check into it.
