Howdy all

i've just got a problem with my sony xplod XM-754sx 4 channel amp...

All of a sudden , every time i turn it on , the red OFFSET LED comes on and
doesn`t work... just started straight away...

I've tested it on the bench and it does the same thing , just with the + & -
and the remote wire connected , no speakers....

any ideas  ??

Cheers...

Verify that the Hi Voltage/Hi Current switch is set correctly on amp
that have this switch. This should be set to Hi Current for speake
loads of 1 to 2 ohms, or Hi Voltage for all other speaker loads.
NOTE: For older amplifier models, the Hi Voltage/Hi Current switch i
located on the bottom of the amplifier. Newer amplifiers do not hav
this switch.

Check the speaker wire connections for a short circuit.             OR

The Power/Protect light changes from green to red when the amplifier i
overheated, a speaker wire has short circuited or DC current i
generated.

If the amplifier is very warm, allow it to cool down.
Remove any tape or CD that may be in any connected equipment and powe
down all connected equipment.
Check for any short circuits in the speaker wiring
