I have a Kenwood KDC-MP8017 deck and cannt find the manual and cannt find
one online. Can anyone help me with the wiring.
Have a red, yellow, blue, and blue/white, where do I connect them?
Thanks for any help

blue and blue/white are going to be for remote power to an amp, and power to
a power antenna.... do you have a power antenna on your car (goes up and
down with radio on or off)?  Also, do you have an amplifier hooked up in
your car?

It's been a while since I installed mine, and dont remember what the red and
yellow are for, but I believe that the yellow may be a ground, and the red
may be a power in, but for the blue/white, I believe that one is power
antenna.  I would cap that one off to where there's no chance of it touching
anything.  Save the blue with a cap on it, but make sure you leave enough on
there so that you can cut the cap off, and splice for when you get an amp.
That's when you'll need that blue one.

Yeah, hook that yellow to ground if you don't want your head unit to work.
Typically the yellow and red are for constant and switched power.  If I
remember correctly, the red is switched and yellow is constant.  The black
wire should be for ground.  If it doesn't have a black wire, you should run
a ground from the chassis of the radio to a ground.

Gray (If available) - Preamp Output - Connect to amplifier input.
Blue - Remote Turn-On - Connect to amplifier or power antenna. Insulate if
not used.
Black - Ground
Red - Accessory - Connect to existing ignition circuit or switched 12 volt
source.
Yellow - Memory - Connect to battery circuit or constant 12 volt source.
Right Front - Gray/Black (-) / Gray (+)
Right Rear - Violet/Black (-) / Violet (+)
Left Front - White/Black (-) / White (+)
Left Rear - Green/Black (-) / Green (+)

If it follows "standard" color coding, yellow will be for constant 12V
power, red for switched (accessory) power, blue for an amp turn-on, and
blue/white for power antenna.  It's 99.9999% likely your deck follows
this convention.  There should be a black wire for ground as well; if
not, make sure the chassis is securely grounded to some metal in the
dash.  If there's an orange wire, it may be a dashlight connection that
will dim the deck display when the dashlights are on.

Your speakers leads SHOULD be: grey for front-right, white for
front-left, purple for rear-right, and green for rear-left.  The
black-striped wire of each pair is the negative lead.

Orange is Illumination/Dimmer wire so it dims when your headlights are
turned on. There should be a matching wire in your dash, but if not, its
not required for operation. You might check www.installdr.com and see if
they've got the wiring diagram for your car.

Yup, what he said.  Dimmer connection is not required, all it will do is
dim the display when your dashlights are on, IF the dimmer provides the
appropriate output.  Unfortuantely there are many variations on how
dashlight dimmers work, and you have to tap in at the right place, or it
won't dim the deck, or may even work in reverse (dim the deck when
dashlights are bright, brighten the deck when you dim the dashlights).
