I just wired a pair of JL 6" VR-600 woofers in mono for my rear-fill. They
have a high-pass of 80Hz at 12dB per octave, I let them roll-off naturally
on the high-end. I noticed that with my new time-correction feature I can
really play them quite loud, but if I delay them enough I still preserve a
nice strong front stage.
But it got me thinking about all the options I have. Besides changing the
cutoff frequency and slope (I have a choice of 6, 12, 18, and 24 dB), I can
also run them in stereo OR I have a spare set of Kenwood KFC-X168 6.5"
drivers I could use as rear-fill (coax, for full-range).
I love the sound I am getting now but I'm curious what others are doing, in
particular those with time-correction.
I swear, with these new toys today we have WAY too many choices. Please be
specific about X-over details and such.
Thanks.

It seems that no matter what xover point, or time delay for that matter, I
always seem to shut my rear fill off. I mean...it sounds nice for a while,
but then I'll turn them off and I don't miss 'em. Personal preference I
guess.

Count me as a vote for "n/a". Don't dig rear fill, or discrete surround
for that matter.. too distracting. YMMV.
