do you just put both +'s into 1

Noooo!!!! That's what you certainly DON'T DO. That would present a 2 ohm
load (I presume) AND it would mean you would be bridging all 4 channels of
your amp into one, which is a no-no. What you're describing will work, but
only if each voice coil is 4 ohms. When you bridge an amp like the Sony,
you can only drive 4 ohm loads (or larger, of course). If the voice coils
are 2 ohms each, you WILL destroy the amp.
As far as how to connect them, you will have to add another set of
terminals, or simply drill a hole in the box, run the wires through, and
caulk the hole closed.

haha, I was PRETTY sure thats what you DIDN'T do, but I figured I'd ask, the
sub hes looking at is 2- 4 ohm voice coils, because of it being a 4 channel
amp I was pretty sure he can't do a 2 ohm load, so just add a set of
terminal cups or drill holes, simple enough. do any box makers make a box
with 2 terminal cups? (Q-logic or any of those?) I'm going to find out in
detail what he wants to do with his sysem (if he just wants to add a sub, or
eventually replace the speakers as well, ebcause if he is, I'll tell him to
save the 4 channel for the speakers and buy a mono amp)
thanks for the help
