So I've got a '95 Volov 850 and I'm looking to replace my sweet old
SC-810 tape head unit with a sweet new touch-screen/DVD/Nav HU. I've
read a bit of what's availabe on the net and only found a bunch of
stories of ill-fitting installs - an extra few inches here and there,
etc.

My questions:
does anyone know if the dimensions of the SC-8XX units conform to the
din/double-din standards?

has anyone bought a double-din sized HU and made it fit appropriately
in the 850s somewhat squarishly-shaped opening without customizing your
own brackets, etc.?

Just thought I'd better check before dropping $$$ on something that
might bounce around in there...

Yes, that is a double DIN opening
or a Single DIN and a DIN filler pocket
