Alright now. Is there any reason one cannot install a home stereo in a
vehicle...rv...van... and powered from a inverter? Aside from bouncing
the unit senseless... i see no reason. You could get a low end
surround sound system for 250 and a monitor an have an insane rv
system, but i cannot find anyone who has done this. any one out there
try this?

I think the reason that most people don't do this is because that car
speakers are made for cars... and home theater speakers are made for
homes, and thus to put home theater speakers in a car, it would take a
lot of work and labor just to install them in.. not to mention they
would probably have trouble fitting them inside.

I've seen many home stereo's in RV's and Vans. Most even have Satellite TV

well alright then they do exist! nice to hear. thinking about going
crazy with home stereo system and MS media center running the system
just like at home. it would be in a rv (airstream) of course due to
the size. 300gb of mp3 and 500 gb of videos should make for a solid
mobile entertainment system. anyone see a computer media center in an
rv, not sure if the computer could take the vibration and rattle?

That's a lot of stuff for a vehicle... I don't even think I would put
that in my RV, IF i had one.  It would be good if you lived in it or
you take it on week-long vacations over the summer.  If you have lots
of money, I would not get a PC, but I would get a shock resistant
laptop with  very good sound capabilities and with a couple of 100 gig
external shock resistant hard-drives...  Meanwhile, while you are at
it, you can install mobile internet for your RV.  :) And then, install
your BOSE home theater sound system inside... just make sure you have
the speakers, wherever you set them at, mounted on something that will
keep them still.  Then you can also have satellite radio and/or hd
radio set up inside.  And also, if you are an audiophile, get a DVD-
audio and/or an SACD player along with the surround system that you
will put inside.  Phewww... that's just too much for me...  good luck
But I wouldn't recommend sticking a record player inside....

yeah ill stay away from the turntable. yer right a laptop can handle
the duties of a mobile media center as well as the monitor. good
choice.

I guess you have never been to an RV dealership that sells RV's in the 1
Mill +++ range. Those babies are decked out!!! They have all the luxeries of
home and then some. For the right price I am sure you can even get one
outfitted (or unoutfitted should I say) with your choice of strippers
including the pole.

add that to the list of must have items.
