Abbreviations just aren't cool

Hi Viatologists,

In and of itself, language fluency assumes that you've seen certain
words over and over again....  For brevity purposes, certain words
gets shortened in written form because it's just easier to do.  E.g.,

Street = St.
Boulevard = Blvd.
Road = Rd.

Abbreviations are therefore understood by speakers of that language
due to the ability to "unscramble the code".  But if you're learning a
new language, these abbreviations are downright confusing.  The
Worldwide Transportation Library (WWTL) is aware of that, so it's
decided to get review the abbreviations that North Americans and
Britons take for granted.

Therefore, in an effort to serve those who are learning English as a
second language, the WWTL has removed all street abbreviations from
its photograph descriptions.  As of today, street is written as
"Street" and not "St.".

(Nous traduisions aussi l'abréviation <<rte.>> à "route" pour les gens
qui apprennent français comme une langue sécondaire.)

As the Internet spreads worldwide understanding in cultures and roads,
we need to make our languages more transparent to those who take on a
second or third language.  It's the WWTL's mission to help in that
effort.

Cheers,

Carl Rogers

When are you planning to take on a second language, dipshit? Or are you
claiming that the Deputy Dawg crap in your tedious videos is "a second
language"?

Oh, so you are against abbreviations, eh?  Guess the acronym DUAAFAFO
threw you off.  Hint: your POS site uses an abbreviation as its name.

That's OK, Tom...the definition has been free use for a while;
otherwise it would not have been on the page.  I don't Calrog my site.

I love that there's a contraction in the subject line of this post.

I see you use acronyms, and see them as useful.
Here is one you might like, FOAD

Your opinion is indeed humble.

Trust me, Carl, language barrier or not, everyone understands when
your post contains the phrase "I enjoy a good DP while giving a BJ."

Someone give this guy a f.cking medal. Pure genius. Oh yeah, the name
of your website is an abbreviation. Ironic.

Speaking of spreading things, are you able to sit down today? That had
to have hurt last night.
