If you've been perusing these newsgroups recently, you may have come across the term "viatology". In a nutshell, this is a relatively new term for a science that's unofficially been around for several centuries! It simply refers to the scientific measurement, collection, and interpretation of roads from around the world. A viatologist can be found on each continent of the globe, excluding Antarctica. Viatology has has international translations into many western languages. Up until today I have never used a kill file, I have watched in amusement when others threaten this action, usually in a fit of pique or, as they appear to fondly imagine, some form of 'punishment' doled out for a perceived transgression (as if the one kill filed would give a f.ck). Even more amusing is the threat to kill file one who in their opinion is terminally stupid (as if kill filing will magically endow the recipient with additional reasoning power). Thern we have the silly situation of the 'boast' along the lines of 'He's been in my kiil file for ever' type of remark, like it's a competition to see just how restricted access to the NG can occur without making any difference to them. As I said 'up till now'! Before I used to just ignore posts from some people, usually later they would hopefully post something significant however now we come to Mr Carl Rodgers and his demented witterings, am I the only one who thinks this guy has a screw loose? Obviously he is reasonably educated and literate yet he appears to have a fixation that I am finding tedious. He is the first and only member of my KF. I hope others are like minded, he seems to thrive on replys, once this is dealt with this is the last from me on any of his threads.
