Dateline: Yesterday afternoon. My Tucson house is sold, the escrow is
closed. All my worldly possessions from the Tucson house are piled up
in the bed of my Toyota Tacoma; the wife and I look like a couple of
Okies from Muskogee.
We're headed westbound on I-10 when we run into over a mile of stopped
vehicles about 10 miles south of Casa Grande - an area notorious for
road accidents. Unfortunately, due to a curve in the road, I can't see
the backup until we had already passed the Sunshine Blvd. off-ramp
which would have allowed us to bypass the entire mess.
After creeping forward for what seemed like an eternity, we passed two
Truckers who were stopped in the left lane. Behind them were two DPS
cruisers. In front of them was an overturned trailer; there was no
sign of the vehicle that had been towing it. A towtruck was on the
right shoulder. We threaded past and completed the remainder of our
journey without incident.
It was as if Arizona was saying "not so fast, buddy boy!!" But
ultimately I managed to escape her vile clutches. :)

With only a small truckload of possessions, I can see why you left here.
Arizona requires hard work and dedication. You belong in California....

Chyeah right. California's housing is ten times as expensive and you
have to work a hell of a lot harder to stay off the streets. Oh..
I see.. you're a street bum using the public library computer.

Here's hoping the indigent transient will seek work at Californicator Home
Depots along with other honest workers....

You're right, I do lack dedication. 95 - 115 degrees day in and day
out from May to October with a few days of 90% humidity thrown in for
variety gets kind of old after a few years. But I'll be thinking of
all my AZ buds as I bask in the WARM (not HOT) California sun this
july. ;)
