Los Angeles TV news reports that 7 underage teenagers were involved in a traffic collision today. The unlicensed driver 17 year old driver already had 5 people in his Mazda Protege, but 2 more wanted a ride..... so they climbed into the trunk. The driver then proceeded to lose control and run into a tree, causing the 2 in the trunk to be thrown out...... where they were hit in midair by a passing van and killed. The other teens in the car received minor injuries. Full story at: http://www.nbc4.tv/news/4457216/detail.html Families of the dead teens couldn't be reached for comment, but at least 20 Southern California personal injury attorneys are already preparing lawsuits against Mazda for failure to make a strong enough trunk latch.
