I've spent a lot of time during the last 5 years driving on roads near the border (e.g. I-8). Not once during all that time have I seen any wetbacks running across the road in front of me. I have never seen them near the famous San Onofre checkpoint, the one with the famous signs that caused such a ruction among the Wetback-lovers: http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20050410/news_1n10signs.html Bottom line, I don't think many people will even get the chance to mow down a wetback.
