Thanks. Now that was a blast from the past. In 1967 I showed up with an
E-Type Jaguar and decided not to try that. In those days one could pay a
fee and drive the course, obviously *not* when there was a race. Apparently
still true and that is why the other cars are being passed so handily. They
were out for some Sunday fun, and suddenly here comes the BMW racing team!
It was Mercedes when I was there, and I was told there was almost always
some private team practicing. They have had some serious crashes when the
amateurs didn't know what to do in a passing turn.
That fahrer (driver) is world-class, and has the course memorized, another
reason not to try that, on first sight.

Obviously, when this was shot the track was not open for the public. The
driver passes way too many cars on the right, which is not something
you'd want to try in Germany, and video recording is illegal too.

Yup, one of the drivers given a chance to set official track times for
the M-cars?

Nice - kind of long and it drove the cat crazy, but cat's are
naturally crazy anyway.

Heh. That piece of "Car Porn" is all over the forums I read, too!
Man, I wanna drive the Nureb- Nubrig- that track! The only thing
missing was a speedometer, though.
