Are there kits for repairing rusted out rocker panels? Do these come with
preformed tin plate for a given automobile and some kind of glue? Where are
these available?

Google for "Fusor."  There actually is now a structural adhesive
designed for automotive sheetmetal repair.  That said, if your rockers
are a structural part of the car, I don't know that I would trust
anything but a traditional cut and welded patch.

You probably won't find preformed rockers for anything but classics,
what kind of car do you drive?  If the holes are on a gently curved
(not with formed corners) section of rocker you may be able to take
some steel sheet and gently form it to fit.  If you need to use a sheet
metal brake to form your rockers you might be better off going to a
body shop.

I think Goodmark is a supplier of sheetmetal for older GM's. also the
name Sherman pops to mind but I don't recall which vehicles they cover.

I have a 1992 Chev Cavalier. The last rocket panels rusted and fell off. I
think they were glued on.

Thanks.

hmmm.... good luck with that.  I doubt there's anyone making patch
panels for a Cavalier yet, but I'm willing to be proven wrong.

Good grief. Rocker panels are at the bottom of the car.  You can patch
them up with anything since nobody can see it. I've stuffed paper
towels in the holes and just puttied over that. Don't act like it's the
Sistine Chapel.

Just remember that not everyone hangs out in bath houses like you do.

<Mr. Rogers>
Very good, Judy! Can you name some /other/ things at the bottom of the car?

Bzzt. I'm sorry, that's incorrect. Doubly so.

No, but *do* act like it's an integral part of the car's structure,
because it is... Ever seen a junker broken in half somewhere between the
A and C pillars?

Sheesh, first you go around bragging about your unsafe tires and
malfunctioning brakes, now you're bragging about how structurally
unsound your vehicle is?

And you want people to believe (however briefly) that you advocate
safety in *any* form? Time to get real, Judy.

BS. Rocker panels are not part of the frame you moron.  They're as
essential as tail fins. Since you obviously know nothing about cars why
don't you just keep your opinions to yourself?

STFU you foaming idiot.  I'd like to see you try your "repair" on a
Porsche 914.  It would fold in half after the first time it was parked
outside!  Some vehicles use the rocker panel and associated structure
as the main structural member for the unibody.

To the OP: you can safely ignore anything that LBMHBF posts, unless you
just like reading for entertainment value.

Umm, why do you bother nate?

Take your own advice, fart breath, seeing as you know absolutely nothing
about cars OR driving, you faggot.

Who said anything about a frame? Not I.

Go ahead, cut yours off. Let's see how long it takes before your
crapped-out POS folds itself in half. My guess would be the first time
your lard a.s sat down in the front seat...
