3000 americans killed on 9-11, you say.  Well... 3000 are killed every
MONTH on our highways. And we know how to stop that - take away the
drivers license of speeders and DUIs and other highway criminals.
Wouldn't cost a thing. In fact it would  save billions of $ a month in
reduced medical bills and propety damage.

When will america get its priorities straight?

Terrorism, like abortion, gay marriage and pedophilia, is used as a
political stick to beat the weak minded into toeing the Republican party
line.  It doesn't have to be an important problem, as long as it's scary and
you can frighten people with it. Once they're afraid, you can bend them to
your will very easily by identifying enemies to attack and blaming them for
all problems.

Yeah, I know it doesn't make sense; but the weak-minded don't ask questions.
They just follow the ring in their nose.

You mean like how liberal college professors supress and censor any
thought that is not left wing and america hating - all in the name of
sensitivity and multi-culturalism?

How has *any* college professor legally curtailed your Constitutional
rights?  Have you been prevented from expressing yourself in public?

Don't teach 'em how to drive, and let Darwin work it's wonders.

The caveat to this plan is that they often take others less deserving of the
fate with them.

As someone who deals with moronic, inept drivers on a daily basis, I
can safely state that this can be avoided.

For example, when I was learning to drive, I was taught that a green
light meant you had the legal right to proceed through an intersection.
I was also taught that just because you have that legal right, doesn't
mean you're going to be able to navigate the intersection safely. A
lesson well taught, as it prevented me from being t-boned by a dump
truck driver who failed to heed his red light a few months back, and an
SUV operator a couple of weeks after that.

The only time there is a problem, though, is when my vehicle isn't
moving. The last four accidents my vehicle was involved in occurred
when the vehicle had a velocity of zero (select unit of choice here)
and thus I could not maneuver to avoid the accidents I saw coming.
Fortunately accidents of this nature involve other vehicles traveling
at very low velocity, and so damage is minimal at worst.

Still, though, I believe that our current driver licensing system needs
to be revamped to focus on issues such as alertness and proper response
to emergency situations, as opposed to some asinine concept of "safety
is a factor of adhering to some arbitrarily set speed limit."

Oh yeah, because NOBODY drives with an invalid license, right??

I realize your small mind can't comprehend this, but all it takes is 1
