And we pay these guys to do this crap.
They had approximately 8-10 county cops trolling I57. It is a state
highway. They have no authority on it in Illinois.
They have another fuckwit on a bridge over I57 using radar. The
fuckwit is sitting in the lane of traffic, on the bridge. It isn't
even a county highway he is on, so the bridge is so small two trucks
can't use it at the same time without scraping paint. Anyone coming
over the bridge will have to cross the double yellow and be ticketed,
or risk a head on without whatever is coming over the bridge.
The fuckwit on the bridge is so f.cking stupid he can't catch someone
doing 85MPH.
The fuckwits sitting on the side waiting to be told to go harass, I
mean ticket, drivers, are so ignorant they can't catch another driver
going the other way doing 95MPH.
And we pay these guys to do this crap.

Are you sure about that ? I know of no law that prevents them, and if
there is, I'd like to see it. The county mounties make a regular habbit of
revenuing IL53 and I got revenued by one there once for going the normal
speed of traffic. I would love to have a law to cite so I could ignore
them in the future.

A lake county cop once gave me sh.t because my lane location with the
bicycle made him put two tires just barely on/over the center line to
pass me on a 2 lane with proper modern width lanes.

I believe it to be the case. However if anyone can show I am wrong, I
will gladly admit I was not 100% correct here. :-)

Are you sure? Here county cops have authority on any roadway in their
county.

Yeah, he was probably calling out the speeds to the guys in waiting.

As well as everywhere else, if it's the same as sheriffs' jurisdiction
in Ohio and Wisconsin. Sometimes there's a 'cops agreement' that only
one agency patrols a certain stretch of road (Milwaukee County Sheriff
handles both Interstates through the county), but this doesn't preclude
others from exercising theirs as well. It just pisses off the guys
they had the agreements with.

That makes more sense. It gets kind of confusing in here when people throw
out their opinion as stated fact without researching it first.

Well it WAS DEFINITELY law years ago, and since I have never heard of
it being retracted, I assume it still is. Again, if I am wrong, I
apologize. I don't have the time ...

Badly. While endangering people.
