Now we need to get 80 on UK motorways next. Most equivalent roads in Europe are
already ( 130 kph ).

ROI recently put their limit up to 120km/h = 74mph.

Nice to hear that. I'd heard that metrication of speed limits had been used to
lower them there quite widely.

Regional routes used to be 60mph, they are now by default approx 50mph.
