Report that the big 3 auto brands cause the most pollution in the US

This is what happens when you cut the brainpower and let beancounters
run manufacturing.

AGAIN some reporter screwed up the very basic facts, making all other facts
suspect.  The big 3 used to refer to the big 3 domestic automakers in the
United States, namely ford, "chevy" (gm) and dodge (chrysler).  Now there
are only 2 domestic automakers left.  THERE IS NO BIG 3
ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not so sure there's a big anything in car manufacturing in the US
these days...so many foreign parts used.  You're as likely to buy
American with a Honda as a Chrysler.

Just another stupid hit piece that uses statistics to bash. A little bit
of knowledge would tell you this is no more meaningful than saying cars
made by Japanese automakers produce the most CO2 of cars on the road in
Japan. It's trying to make the obvious into being sinister.

Of course 'General Motors, Ford and DaimlerChrysler cars and light
trucks' produce more CO2 than those of other makes. Ford sells what? a
half million F-series trucks a model year alone? Probably more than that.
It's shear volume of vehicles and vehicle types. Nothing shocking,
nothing interesting, nothing useful.

MSNBC might as well run an article telling us the sky is blue and making
it seem sinister.
