How many more geezer massacres are we going to have to suffer through
before we WAKE UP and start getting these incompetent f.cks off the
road?

http://ktla.trb.com/news/ktla-farmersmarket,0,6161422.story?coll=ktla-newsspecial3-1

An SUV driven by an 89-year-old man plowed into pedestrians and
vendors at an open-air public market Thursday, injuring 10 people.

Police said the driver was looking for a specific vendor at the
Rochester Public Market when his foot slipped off the brake pedal and
hit the accelerator, sending the vehicle through at least eight food
stalls and into a shed.

"We heard a big bang and when we looked, this vehicle was just plowing
through everything at full throttle," said Jared Longboat, 36, whose
food stand was wrecked in the crash.

A total of eight workers and shoppers went to hospitals, two with
serious injuries, police said. Another person and the driver were also
injured.

Firefighters had to extract the driver from the SUV, but his injuries
appeared to be minor, police Chief David Moore said. The man was sent
home with a relative, Sgt. Cheryl Fridley said. No charges have been
filed.

The market was ordered closed as vendors cleaned up the area, which
was strewn with spilled fruits, vegetables and crates.

I suspect by the age the driver wasn't "Aunt Judy" this time.

I'm all for getting these geezers off the roads but you know what the
ool folks say.  "As long as convicted speeders and  drunk drivers are
allowed to keep their license, you got no right to pick on the old
people."

Is that what the older people in your facility tell you?
Good, I'm glad to see you interacting with the others there.
Does the man in the white jacket follow you around?
Maybe they'll let you outside soon. Won't that be a treat?

Ladies and Gentlemen (and I use those words loosely), Speeders & Drunk
Drivers are MURDERERS meant to say in rec.autos.driving:

> "As long as an asswipe like with a moronic name like
> 'Speeders & Drunk Drivers are MURDERERS,' is allowed
> to keep its license, you got no right to pick on the old
> people."

There. I corrected your post for you. No need to thank me.
