Hi All,

Ready for your viewing is an Interstate 99 video.  There is an overview of
the route's layout, including the gentleman whose idea made that route a
reality, and finally some visualisations of local traffic while overlooking
a duplexed shield-gallery:

The video begins in Bedford, PA, USA, some hundred feet north of the onramp
from US Federal Business Route 220.

Enjoy!

Cheers,

Carl Rogers

Schuster's Folly! Thanks for the ride. I had wondered what that road
looked like (dunno when I'll get that way to see it myself...)

I wonder if you said that to a local. That woulda been a hoot. I lived in
the area for a bit-I know those folks. Bet you cut a fine figure in
Bedford, PA, USA. I thank you for yr service, because any o' the local
citizenry who encountered yr goofy arse *had* to feel better about
themselves after. Those ppl need whatever laughs they can get.

Actually, wouldn't that be "Business US Federal Route 220"? That is if there
were such a thing as "federal" routes. Which there aren't. Still, no matter
how much you insist that there are. It's not the American Association of
*Federal* Highway and Transportation officials that sets the numbers, its
the American Association of *State* Highway and Transportation Officials.
They're state highways. In the case of the Shysterway, it's not even that.
It's a number legislated by a pig who fed long and hard at the public
trough.

It would since US 220 continues past Exit 1 as it had for years prior to the
infamous 99 shields appearance.

Not to mention named not one, but two expressways after himself.

I think we've already gone over this with Carl in the past and it's
clear, to me at least, that he really doesn't care. Both about accuracy
or about preventing confusion. NO ONE calls it "US Federal Business
Route 220" -- not the locals, not PennDOT, not us m.t.r'ers, not any-
one -- but Carl likes to be "different", even if it causes confusion
or frustration...

Anway, if *I* were Carl, I would call it "The United States of America
Federal Government Business Highway Route Two-Hundred Twenty", as "U.S."
is an abbreviation that may cause confusion and if we're spelling every-
thing else out, for consistency and accuracy, we really *should* also
spell out the numbers as well. It only makes sense!

Later,
Chris
