Suspect accused of running over girlfriend

(ADAIR COUNTY)  A domestic incident in Adair County late sunday
afternoon ended up taking a violent turn.

According to the Adair County Sheriff's department, 40-year-old Lynn
Gibson was injured when her boyfriend, 50-year-old Larry McFarland, hit
her with his pickup.

The alleged incident occurred at the McFarland residence on Outback
Trail in extreme   southwestern Adair County.

Authorities were summoned about 4 p.m. Sunday. When they arrived, the
victim was finally located at McFarland's sister's nearby home, hiding
in a closet.

Gibson was treated and released for injuries received when McFarland
alledgedly drove over Gibson's legs with his pickup.

McFarland is still at large and is being sought on felony first-degree
assault charges.
