Remember the article where someone used mile markers to calculate speed
and show they had not been speeding with the photos? Well no more...

http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/14/1488.asp

"Motorcyclist Bryn Carlyon beat an inaccurate ticket by proving
mathematically that the distance he traveled in the pair of speed camera
photographs could only have been done at well under the speed limit. Now
Staffordshire is withholding the second photo and West Midlands is
cropping images to prevent the accused from using pavement markings to
perform speed calculations."

After reading your first sentence, my first thought was that they sent
a crew of workers out to remove all the pavement markings. I see my
gut instinct was very nearly correct. :)

That will probablly be next, when - if I read graham correct - the
current scam is ruled illegal by a judge.
