Okay so I admit it I'm a bad guy, I had my probationary licence
suspended for 30 days for having whatsoever alcohol in my system, by
the way I was not impaired driving and did pass the blow test (if I
were to have my full). Anyways 30 days is nothing, it's the fact that I
lost my licence since the ticket is 4 demerit points. My question
resides wether I should contest the ticket or not, and try and hold off
court dates till I have my full, Although this is IMPOSSIBLE, I'd like
to atleast try, since I need my car to get to school and work and back.
If I contest the ticket apparently a court date will be held within an
8 month period, so says my freind, And If I do contest  and the cop
chooses wether not to show, will my licence not be revoked? Also as I
am a minor the ticket rests at 130 rather then if I were trialed as an
adult a fee of 300-600 can be applicable.

>Okay so I admit it I'm a bad guy,

Admit nothing.  Confession may be good for the soul but it's poor for
the legal case.

Anything more, you'd have to ask a competent lawyer in your
jurisdiction.

There's no such thing as a free lunch, but certain accounting practices can
 result in a fully-depreciated one.

You can always contest, but...
You are a minor, and had some alcohol, and were driving.  That's a bad
combination--pick one or other.  Something was wrong, since you got
stopped in the first place (unless it was a random check)

Stay in school, and I suggest studying basic grammar.

Random check it was. Anyhow, I never understood these people who came
on these forums to insult people's grammar. People make mistakes you
bafoon, Lifes one big lesson.

Because the way people perceive other posters on this or any other
*newsgroup* is through their writing style and grammar.  A post that's
borderline incoherent and full of grammatical errors is hard to
understand.  People who read a post containing those characteristics
usually assume that the poster is an idiot.

  ^^^^^^^^

that's classic.

Anyway, I actually sympathize with your plight, as I feel that these
checkpoints are utter and complete shite.  Unless you mouthed off to
the cop or else showed signs of actual impairment while driving, IMHO
you do not deserve a ticket.  However, it is apparent that I am in the
minority on this one.  I don't have any useful advice for how to deal
with your situation.  However, I can tell you this - if you actually
take the time to post without grammatical or spelling errors, people
will automatically assume that you are more intelligent than if you
write like you're text-messaging someone, or worse, *attempt* to post
with correct grammar and spelling but still make errors.  It may or may
not be an assumption with any truth behind it, but first impressions
are pretty powerful.  "Ah, but it's just Usenet" you say.  True, but a)
I assume you want people to take you seriously otherwise you wouldn't
be posting at all (I didn't get the impression that your post was a
troll) and b) it's a good habit to be in for all sorts of
communications.  Someday you're going to have a Real Job(tm) and
eventually you're going to be in a hurry doing something and you're
going to have to respond *right away* to a message from a customer,
coworker, prospect, whatever and you're not going to have time to
proofread your message.  You still want it to come out sounding
polished and professional, yes?

Haha, alright mommy and daddy. For christ's sake, I was in a hurry when
I wrote my previous text, and yes I spoke to the cop very politely and
did not mouth off.

I'm calling 911 and reporting a heart attack or something....
BOTH nate and Arif agreed with me.  Even if it wasn't the main topic,
that's still a major upending of my stable world...  ;<)

You can see just how little respect this guy has for others. No doubt
the cop picked up on that vibe and cited him accordingly.

If you listen carefully, you can hear Carl Troller's wife scream just prior to the impact.

You guys are honestly 50 year olds having a midlife crisis or got the
living sh.t kicked out of you during high chool and need someway or
form to rejuvenate your self esteem by insulting someone over the
internet. Haha, honeslty I've never had a problem in any forum or group
other then this one. Oh and nice video, too bad I wasn't considered
drunk driving and was far from it. Also the only yoda appears to be you
guys thinking you have so much wisdom in the english language. Woopety
fuckin' doo daddy had his dick up your a.s in grade school all the way
to high school. To be honest I have no interest in school at this point
and time in my life, so please don't criticize one of being stupid when
they could be better at something they actually enjoy doing. Anyways Im
deleting this piece of sh.t out of 'my groups', as I was looking for
help and not a way to higher one's self esteem that has obviously been
affected in the past. Goodbye and I hope you guys the best of wishes.

Also one other thing, I have no respect? The cop sighted me for a
reason? Well could that of been because I had a burnt out turning
signal?

Although I might have been charged with alcohol in my system, and
remain not the best keyboard typer, or  do I proofread my internet
messages, I'd just like to say it's losers such as yourselves who bring
guns to school, fuckin' robots.

The only "buffoon" here is the one who refuses to learn life's

This is insane. Convicted of DUI,  a super-violent drug crime, and all
this psychopath gets is a 30 day suspension of license.!!!  Another
one for the criminal coddler Hall of Fame.
the_lower_class_brat - 19 Dec 2006 04:48 GMT
For one last time if you get any more retarded I swear that I will
become of one myself. I was not convicted of DUI, yes dui is a serious
crime and I do not respect drunk driving but, since I have a restricted
licence that requires NO alcohol in my system. meaning I had a beer and
a half, and waited an hour. Plus on top of it I didnt plan on driving i
had to drive a freind that was sick home. Well good lesson learnt, and
Im glad it happened, because theres no way Im going to go do that
again, you live and you learn.

Dude, chill. Don't worry about justifying yourself to Aunt Judy. He's
RAD's resident troll, hypocrite, anti-Semite, and pothead. I'm sure he's
done far worse than you in the short time he's been a blight on this
world. Speeding through school zones in a dangerously decrepit vehicle
is the first thing that comes to mind...

Eat me, troll.  if the kid were over 18 he would have been legal.  He
just made the mistake of driving while he still had alcohol in his
system - but he was probably perfectly safe to drive (from a BAC
standpoint.)

Ahmen, finally some decently hearted people. Well if that were the case
I'd just contest the ticket since I turn 18 in about 40 days. Anyways
where im from a probationary licence has to be held for 2 years before
you can have any alcohol, in my point of view it should just be 18.

When I was 17, they didn't have probationary licenses.  DUI was
somewhat laughed and winked at.

I am embarrassed to admit that on a couple of occassions, I mixed the
booze and cars, and kept my otherwise bored guardian angel in a high
pay grade.  I, and the people around me, were lucky.  A number of
people I knew were not, nor were their innocent victims.

Fortunately, the attitude is changing.  DUI isn't funny; it's deadly.
We recognize that teenagers don't process dangers very well, nor do
they anticipate hazards well because of their inexperience.
Consequently, the legal system is adapting to try to prevent some of
the mayhem.  This is reflected in provisional licenses, etc.  The goal
is to prevent young drivers from getting into the habit of drinking AT
ALL, and driving.

While I agree that some of the laws are a mess, and I certainly don't
agree that the feds should have gotten mixed up in it, they are what
they are.  And they are that way because of the mistakes made by you,
and me, and a bunch of others over the years.  Once you and I and our
friends no longer encourage each other to drink and drive, maybe legal
sanity will again take hold.  Don't hold your breath on either case.

BTW, there are a mimimum of 7 errors in your short paragraph.  ;<)
It's rather sad that so many people write that way.  :<(
