Despite jaybird's claim that the car and home are different and the
tactics would not be applied to the home. We now have the "Knock and Talk".

Knock and Talk is like the officer that pulls you over for a marker light
being burned out and then tries to get you to allow him to search your
car, except now, they knock on the door of your home and ask to search
your home.

Sometimes the courts uphold the 'knock and talk' other times they don't.

More stupidity.  I hope people learn to just say no.  I would also make
sure I didn't
open the door very wide and possibly even step out and close the door
behind me.

A lot of people probably feel that it's a bad idea to say "no" to an
officer whether or not they have a legal right to do so; likely in fear
that the officer may retaliate in some way (legal or no) if they
refuse.

You don't have it "now", it's always been around.

1) No it hasn't. Unless always started a few years ago when this started to
appear.

2) Your comment above shows you were lying when you stated that the home
and car were different (quite the same with cops bullying their way
to search) rather than just being ignorant of the obvious progression.

Ladies and Gentlemen (and I use those words loosely), jaybird said in

You'll have to excuse Brent. He was under the impression that the
Constitution and our Civil Rights actually meant something to the
hypocritical thing we call "government," in this once great nation of
ours.
