Hey,thanks for visiting and spending some of your money here!
I-drive is one of the worst driving areas in Orlando.(tourist mecca)

And at least you missed the tornados.

There's still plenty of Winter to avoid,so....

Particularly when one of my employer's strongest markets is Orlando; a
lot of our company's income comes from your region. In fact, O-town is
one of our "growth focus" markets.

>I-drive is one of the worst driving areas in Orlando.(tourist mecca)

Sand Lake road, Irlo Bronson Blvd, and I-4 ain't much fun, either, and
I've got to say Orlando's airport is the poorest design of any I've
been in.

>And at least you missed the tornados.

And the hurricanes.

Yeah, but to get to the good stuff you've got to go further south. I
was very surprised by the temperature difference in a day's drive from
Miami to Merrit Island. In my stretch of the woods, to get that much
change in temperature, you have to visit the foothills and change your
altitude by ~3000 feet or so.

Although even though I hated all the traffic, I've got to say that
Orlando is a very visually stunning city, particularly at night.

You're welcome...

Not as bad as some places. Ever driven in New Orleans (pre-Katrina)? ;)

> And at least you missed the tornados.

Barely. Lake City is rather close to where I am. And I was on Jekyll
Island, GA yesterday evening (when the skies actially cleared for an
hour or two) and there was a lot of debris down there.

Don't I know it. Its about 50 out right now; 40 or so miles north of the
St. Mary's River...

Probablly be a couple of months. (I have family in Winter Park which
brings me down there frequently). Too bad I missed the elves on
University, though.  ;)

Now if only the turnpike authority would extend 417 to J-ville or to the
GA line....

Oh Gawd why the inhumanity of a trek into FloriDUH!?!? The only times
I've bothered to venture into that state in the last two decades has
been as the result of work mandates, and my grandfather's funeral.
Blech.

You trying to experience what it's like to drive around Colorodians
without the snow? ;-)

If I didn't have family down there, I probablly would never go further
into FL than Jacksonville; except for when I head through the panhandle
on my way to MS for a little casino action (thinking of which, I really
need to get out that way. I'd like to see how Biloxi's changed since
Katrina...). Sometimes I wish they'd move, though. Seems like every time
I go down there, I come back home with bronchitis.  :-/
