Nice, but is the front end sturdy enough to displace Aunt Judy fron the
highway?

Doubtful; if Aunt Judy was fortunate enough to have a vehicle with
rear view mirrors, and the intelligence to use them, I'd bet Aunt Judy
would hop out in front of it, drop it's drawers, and, well, I'll let
you derive the rest of the story based on my sig...

(snip .sig)

I had my doubts as well...not even a nuke blast can dislodge Aunt Judy
from this ng.

Dunno, but the exhaust is enough to give Aunt Judy a good melt down. ;)

the Fastest car on the road can't get by rolling roadblocks, sloths,or the
LCD's
(lowest common denominators)

Now if they came with narrow-beam directed EMP armament, repulsor beams,or
disintegrator beams..(ah,if only they existed..)

Maybe a KW-laser pulse on their tires?

B-)

Or one of the best ideas from the 80s (a molecular bonded shield applied
to one's vehicle) ;)

I used to use a car "wax" that "molecular-bonded" to the paint. ;-}

It didn't shield for s#!t.

Kinda makes me curious: if they are able to achieve their goal and go
super sonic, will the shock wave that preceeds the vehicle be strong
enough to displace the sloths and let the vehicle pass?

Aren't there some lasers that are used for cutting? Wouldn't be too much
of a stretch to use one mounted on a car with a computer control to keep
the laser on its target untill the gas tank is reached...

ever feel the buffetting from a 18 wheeler going by at speed?
supersonic may just be the thing....you might pass your exit, though.
(especially the way road signage is these days..)
although I don't believe the shock wave PREceeds the plane,or not by very
much, inches from the nose.BEHIND,the wave is much broader.

No,you don't want it to flame up right in FRONT of you, just blow out a tire
and either the LCD's car will veer off the road,or the driver will guide it
off to change the flat.
(unless it's a SUV/PU,then it will flip and roll a few times)

Either way,it's out of the way,and no forest fires ignited.
