Another 43,000 americans were killed on our highways and millions were injured and hundreds of billions of $ were spent on medical bills and property damage from the 6 million annual car crashes. And we could easily stop all this if we stopped coddling the speeders and drunkdrivers and other highway criminals. But the media gets big bucks from airing the commercials of the car companies and so buries the story. It isn't because of any one particular thing that the story isn't aired, other than the fact that the story is just not news. 500,000 or more pets run away from home every year. Is it aired? Maybe. Might get all of 10 seconds of air time. But you include a semi truck in the story, it gets aired and made a big deal out of. Even if a car runs into the back end of a semi, the story gets aired and the trucker is blamed for the crash. Never fails. Two cars? Nobody gives a sh.t.
